SOUL

Watching Disney’s movie SOUL has been a beautiful experience for me, so I wish to share a little excerpt from the movie :

The Jazz musician (main protagonist of the movie) gets his dream break but by the end of the gig he asks his lead artist why doesn’t he feel any different despite having waited his entire life for this break, to which she responds with the narration of a short story as follows –

‘This fish swims to the older fish and tells her there is this thing called the ocean which she is busy finding’.

“The Ocean??? You are in it, this is the ocean!” says the older fish

To this, the young fish says “NO…this is just WATER…I want the OCEAN!”

Haha … I couldn’t help but laugh at this metaphor and find my own meaning in it.
